Although Fish First and Friends of the East Fork have great concerns over the suspension of the Watershed Stewards Program by Clark County — at the same time it offers an opportunity for new on-the-ground real project involvement for Stewards members.

We have a wide variety of watershed, stream, riparian, and fish habitat programs and projects that could utilize both individual and group involvement. It would include such activities as general field surveys, monitoring support, basic data acquisition, riparian enhancement, project maintenance, and other related tasks.

If there are graduates or members of the Stewards who are interested, we would like them to contact us. I am on the Board of Directors for Fish First as well as Friends, and could help facilitate this potential interaction.

Please contact me by phone or email or the Stewards Staff and I will be glad to discuss these opportunities in detail.
